If you have a side curtain airbag, chances are nobody makes an apillar pod to mount your gauges. If they do you will pay a high price for it., very expensive to copy the design and features of an OEM apillar cover. Our mounting solution retains your OEM apillar cover with all the hardware and mounts needed to keep it connected so it does not become a crash hazard and allows the side curtain to funcntion properly............... APILLAR -KUP SAFETY FEATURE Different gauges have size variation of the gauge body and when you combine this with size difference of the apillar pod gauge holes, you usually end up with a sloppy fit. The normal fix for this is rubber bands or some kind of tape wrapped around the gauge body. This leaves you with a poorly secured gauge which can become dislodged during a crash.
Our solution to this problem is the inclusion of a set screw to secure the gauge to the cup regardless of the size variation in the gauge housing. Both of our gauge mounting parts have this feature and is exclusive to our design.
OUR PARTS FIT STEERING COLUMN COVERS This is our CD1200-52 mounted to a Subaru Forester steering column. Our new CD1001/1003 Apillar-KUP would be a good choice also. No need to purchase an aftermarket steering column with the gauge mount molded in to replace your stock unit. For the money you spend for an aftermaket unit, you could buy the gauge you want.
Either one of our gauge mounts fits better, looks better, has flexible mounting position, holds the gauge better and cost less.

GAUGE FITMENT ISSUES
This is an all too common problem with apillar pods. This is more of a apillar pod problem than it is a gauge being to long to fit in the pod. This is a water temp gauge which is no longer than 1.5 inches and the gauge body still doesn't fit flush. Some apillar pod and gauge manufactures make a spacer ring or hole cover to hide this Apillar-KUPS can hold a gauge that is up to 2.5 inches long. Most 2 1/16 inch gauge do not exceed this length
NO APILLAR POD AVAILABLE FOR YOUR VEHICLE?
Alot of car and truck owners do not have any apillar pods available to them, OR THEY WANT JUST TO MOUNT ONE GAUGE OR ADD ONE MORE GAUGE AND APILLAR PODS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. So they end up having to make one for their vehicle, such as this person who spent 8 hrs and $200 to make this apillar pod.

Gauge pod from brand y sucks, don't even put it on, I took it out because I can't read the gauges. The angle of the gauges are just to far to the left. The angle for viewing your gauges depends on how tall you are. I ordered brand x for my Dodge truck, after fitting to my apillar, the gauges pointed to the roof. Apillar-KUPS fit flush or are adjustable for the best viewing angle.
Wanted a three gauge pod, but they only make single or dual for my truck. Apillar-KUPS can mount one, two or three gauges to your stock apillar cover, no need to buy and install a new pod if you want to add an additional gauge.
Pod will definitely need to be trimmed to fit Had to make modifications to fit over stock one. There were fitment issues, had to trim it to sit more flush. Well I got around to reshaping my pod, I used my heat gun, not perfect, but close with out using body putty. Apillar-KUPS do not need any trimming or heat guns, and for sure not body putty.
Little intrusive, as in your face, the last gauge ends up close to your face. The view blockage is what keeps me from buying an apillar pod, drove me crazy when I looked left. Apillar-KUPS allow you to mount your gauges, hIgh or low to your factory apillar.
I just put an apillar pod on my 05, I had to sand the gauge holes and shave the grab bar. Apillar-KUPS retains your grab handles and speakers without removing, modifying or relocating.
When I took it down I could see the plastic starting to deform. Starting to warp from the interior heat. Apillar-KUPS wil not warp or deform.
The problem I had was my gauges bottomed out, so I needed spacers. Some gauges have long bodies and there is not enough room to fit. Apillar-KUPS are 2.5 inches deep.
Had to file the inside of the holes, if you do not the gauges will sit funny. Guages do not always fit snug in the pod and move around. Apillar-KUPS uses a set screw to secure the gauge in the cup.
I got a set of sweet gauges, but the apillar pod I got was junk, very poor quality and fitment. I am afraid that everyone that makes apillar pods do not put out a good mold. Apillar-KUPS are injection molded from ABS plastic, not vacuum formed from thin plastic.
I got brand x triple pod, I had to trim and rivet to the stock apillar, when I installed it did not even come close to fitting. Apillar-KUPS requires one or two hidden bolts for mounting. NO glue, sticky tape, Velcro, epoxy, rivits, screws, plastic push pins, or tie wraps needed for installation
FACT 1: No aftermarket apillar pod looks better, fits better or easeir to install than your current factory apillar cover.
FACT 2: There is no such thing as a universal apillar pod.
